ACERCA

Nació en la Ciudad de México. Es arquitecto egresado de la Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México y actualmente cursa el MA en Spatial Performance and Design en la Architectural Association en Londres.
Ha participado en más de 30 proyectos que abarcan teatro, teatro musical, ópera, danza, música en vivo y cine. Entre sus trabajos de diseño escénico para teatro destacan: Business Suite; La chica del bikini azul; Los Hardings; Priscilla, reina del desierto; Mamá se fue a la luna; Trudy y Max se enamoran; Duda, una parábola; y Los Monstruos. En cine ha sido diseñador de producción en los cortometrajes Hopstanz, Therapist of the Year y La marcha de los pingüinos. Su experiencia abarca también giras internacionales y espectáculos en vivo como Dueño del cielo (Humbe), Danna L¡ve (Danna), Dejando huella (Bronco), y Bluey en vivo.
Ha colaborado con el escenógrafo Jorge Ballina en múltiples producciones, incluyendo las óperas Fidelio y El último sueño de Frida y Diego, estrenada en el Civic Theatre de San Diego, California; así como los musicales Siete veces adiós, Mentiras el musical, La vida es mejor cantando, y Todo el mundo habla de Jamie, por el cual recibieron el Premio Metropolitano de Teatro a Mejor Escenografía para un Musical. También obtuvo una nominación al Premio ACPT (Asociación de Críticos y Periodistas de Teatro) a Mejor Diseño de Escenografía en Musical por Priscilla, reina del desierto, en codiseño con Sergio Villegas.
Completó una residencia en Viena como parte del International Mentorship Program (iniciativa impulsada por Scenography Today, Opera for Peace y UNITA for Future), acompañando al escenógrafo Paolo Fantin —quien fungió como mentor— durante el montaje de la ópera Die Verlobung im Kloster en el Theater an der Wien. También participó en el International Program in Scenography 2024 en Ovidiu, Rumania, organizado por OISTAT Rumania.
Fundó la casa productora OSOHM junto con Abel B. Padilla, dedicada al cine y experiencias en vivo. Su primer proyecto, el cortometraje Hopstanz, está próximo a estrenarse.

He has contributed to over 30 projects spanning theatre, musical theatre, opera, dance, live music, and film. His theatre set design credits include: Business Suite; La chica del bikini azul; The Hardings; Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; Mamá se fue a la luna; Trudy & Max in Love; Doubt: a parable; and Los Monstruos. He has also worked as a production designer on short films including Hopstanz, Therapist of the Year and The March the Penguins. His experience also includes international tours and live shows such as Dueño del cielo (Humbe), Danna L¡ve (Danna), Dejando huella (Bronco) and Bluey Live.
He has collaborated with set designer Jorge Ballina on multiple productions, including the operas Fidelio and The Last Dream of Frida and Diego (premiered at the Civic Theatre in San Diego, California), as well as musicals such as Siete Veces Adiós, Mentiras el musical, La vida es mejor cantando, and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, for which they received the Premio Metropolitano de Teatro (Metropolitan Theatre Award) for Best Set Design in a Musical. He also received an ACPT Award nomination (Theatre Critics Association) for Best Set Design in a Musical for Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, co-designed with Sergio Villegas.
